Our company has recently received atmospheric-pressure equipment consisting of a 10-cubic-meter sodium hypochlorite storage tank and an 8-cubic-meter cleaning water tank. The main body of the equipment is made of Q235B material; it is required that there be a PE lining with a total thickness of 5 mm, applied in two layers, and this lining should extend to the external flange joints. The technical specifications provided by the customer include two statements: “The connections and flanges of the equipment must be protected to prevent damage to the PE lining,” and “The unlined parts of the equipment’s flanges must be rusted removed and coated with a rust-inhibiting primer identical to that used on the outer shell.” During storage, the PE-lined surface of the flange should be pressed tightly using blind plates and bolts to prevent delamination of the PE material. To those who have experience with PE-lined equipment: 1. Does the lining need to extend all the way to the flange sealing surface? Does anyone have a diagram showing how this is done? 2. For the in-depth connection of the equipment, is lining required on both the inside and outside? 3. The user requires that the inlet pipe for the sodium hypochlorite storage tank be a fiberglass tube with a diameter of DN65 and a length of 2200. So, what exactly is this structure to be? Is it a fiberglass tube equipped with flanges (pictures can be found online), with an opening made in the top of the tank through which the fiberglass tube is inserted? But the fiberglass tube cannot be welded to the tank wall ; It is better to first connect the equipment using seamless steel pipes with flanges welded on them; after lining the inner wall of these seamless steel pipes with PE, a glass fiber pipe 2200 meters long is inserted into them. But how are the ends fixed? Is resin used for bonding them? Does anyone have the drawings or detailed node diagrams?
