It’s really eye-opening. Look at these rolls – their diameter is over 500 each. Just imagine how wide the steel plates must be. Are these equipment used in steel mills?
It’s really eye-opening – such heavy rolls! How thick and wide of steel sheets can they roll? That’s amazing! I just don’t know what the quality is like. I remember that a few years ago we imported a sheet rolling machine that was capable of rolling sheets up to 3 meters wide, with the claim that it could handle sheets up to 200 mm thick. But after using it just a few times, it could only roll sheets up to about 100 mm thick, and the upper roller broke :(
It’s said to be from Italy; who knows these days? Anyway, I’m not spending my own money. However, heat treatment for rollers of such a large diameter is still very difficult.
