I would like to ask the teachers: What maintenance is required for the burners of natural gas boilers? Are there any vulnerable components that need to be replaced regularly? Or are there any relevant parameters that need to be calibrated regularly?
Currently, for external inspections of boilers, there are requirements for records of regular maintenance and servicing of the burners, as well as annual inspection records. However, when consulting burner manufacturers, no specific details were provided; generally, the burners don’t break down often. If spare parts are to be mentioned, they include relays, igniters, flame detection probes, and air pressure switches
Burner manufacturers provide a list of wear parts; the one that tends to get damaged the most is usually the flame detector. It is necessary to regularly check the oxygen and carbon monoxide levels in the exhaust gases.
Do the units that use boilers have this testing equipment? It’s quite expensive – tens of thousands of yuan – and one still has to regularly hire a third party for testing
It’s best to have another set of testing equipment of one’s own; third-party testing is required by environmental regulations, while conducting tests oneself allows for a deeper understanding of the combustion conditions during boiler operation
A regular flue gas analyzer can be used for testing; you can also ask the burner manufacturer to conduct the test.
