For the re-inspection items upon its arrival, should only the two mechanical property tests of tensile strength and impact resistance be carried out, in accordance with the requirements for material re-inspection specified in 7.6 of NB/T 47008-2017? What are the requirements for no longer needing ultrasound testing?
According to NB/T 47008-2017, the reinspection items for grade 3 forgings mainly include dimension, appearance, and mechanical property tests, with mechanical property tests typically comprising tensile and impact tests. Unless there are special requirements specified in the design documents or contract for the forging, ultrasonic testing is generally not necessary.
