There is a batch of reaction vessels. Design pressure for the inner cylinder: atmospheric pressure/jacket: 0.30 MPa. Pressure resistance test: inner cylinder: 0.56 MPa/jacket: 0.56 MPa. The set pressure of the safety valves indicated on the design drawings is 0.62 MPa. There is no maximum allowable operating pressure. The drawings were designed in accordance with the 99th edition of the capacity regulations; according to the 16th edition of the General Capacity Regulations, this design does not meet the requirements.
Moreover, this design firm specified a corrosion allowance of 1.0 mm for 304 stainless steel.
Whether stainless steel requires a corrosion allowance depends on the medium.
Some stainless steels also have a corrosion margin; what you’re struggling with now is whether to add an MAWP
I think this design is unreasonable; once the set pressure of the safety valve exceeds the design pressure, a maximum allowable operating pressure must be specified. It’s fine to use C2 for stainless steel.
For the 99 version containers, as long as they pass the annual inspection it’s fine; the 2016 version doesn’t matter
