Should cross-hatching be used for the saddle? The storage tank above is shown in full cross-section

It’s not necessary to perform surgery; in the chemical industry, standards aren’t as strict as those in machinery manufacturing
The shell does not require cross-hatching. Pipe sheets and parts that are drawn as being very thick are required; saddles are not needed.
Generally, no cross-hatching is drawn on the cylinder either, as it doesn’t look good that way. Just draw it when doing a local enlargement.
