TSG R1001-2008: For applications to design pressure vessels of Class D, the total number of full-time design personnel in the applying entity shall generally be no less than 5, of whom at least 2 shall be approval officers. I consulted someone from the evaluation agency yesterday, and they said it’s 5 designers plus 2 reviewers; that’s how they interpret it. 1. Is this really the situation during the actual review process? 2. Containers are classified into four categories: reaction, heat exchange, separation, and storage. In fact, many units have only two or three employees; the rest are from other departments or are involved in audits conducted by other units. Smaller units cannot afford that many people
There’s nothing to do. . Our company is not large; to obtain A1A2 design certifications, we need ten designers! ! Actually, there are only two people right now: L (count me as one)

The number of people isn’t an issue; it’s just that exams and defenses are still required, and it’s likely to be difficult for those who have never done this before.
In smaller manufacturing units, the designers are mostly part-time. The regulations require that design firms with Class D qualifications have 5 full-time designers, including two reviewers.
