Acid gas combustion furnace, exhaust gas incinerator, sulfur production furnace – is the acid gas combustion furnace another name for the exhaust gas incinerator? Is the acid gas incinerator an exhaust gas incinerator or a sulfur production furnace?
The acidic gas combustion furnace, also known as an acidic gas furnace, main combustion furnace, or sulfur production furnace, is a furnace in which high-temperature chemical reactions take place to produce elemental sulfur (for sulfur production) or SO2 and SO3 (for sulfuric acid production); the reaction temperature is generally above 950°C. The exhaust gas incinerator is simply a furnace used to burn very small amounts of acidic gases and other impure gases, with the reaction temperature generally ranging from 650 to 800°C.
