Is there anyone who can teach me? Equipment made of carbon steel needs to be painted – where exactly does that need to be done?
Carbon steel equipment, after rust removal through processes such as degreasing, sandblasting, and grinding, is usually painted on its outer surface, with a primer, an intermediate coat, and a topcoat; for certain types of gases, there are specific regulations regarding the color of the paint to be used. Painting is generally required, unless low requirements are imposed on lifespan, insulation, etc.
Generally speaking, given the corrosive nature of the atmosphere in factories, the outer surfaces of carbon steel equipment must be coated with anti-corrosion paint. The inner surfaces of the equipment, those in contact with the medium, are usually not painted unless there are specific requirements. Refer to HG/T20229 and JB 4711
“How should “where it is needed” be understood? Broadly speaking, anything that is exposed during use needs to be painted. Depending on the needs, some may only require a primer
The carbon steel portion of the equipment’s outer surface needs to be painted, while the stainless steel outer surface generally does not require painting.
