Is this classification related to the concentration of sulfuric acid? At what sulfuric acid concentration can it be considered an extremely hazardous medium?
No one answered, so I answered myself. It shall be implemented in accordance with clause A1.2.1 of Appendix A to TSG21-2016 \"Regulations on Fixed Pressure Vessels\"; the allowable concentration for highly hazardous media shall be less than 0.1 mg/m³. See the screenshot for details. In other words, if the concentration of sulfuric acid solution in a container is greater than 0.1 mg/m³, it should be classified as a highly hazardous substance; that is, 0.1 mg of sulfuric acid per ton of water constitutes a highly hazardous substance.
That is, water containing 0.1 mg of sulfuric acid per ton should be classified as a highly hazardous medium. This is evaluated from a toxicity perspective. However, sulfuric acid is not highly toxic in itself; it is only highly corrosive. It is classified as extremely hazardous based on its carcinogenic potential.
This feeling doesn’t seem very reasonable, what do you think?
