What does this diagram of the lifting lug mean?
Is there a bevel on both sides at the lower end? What type of lifting lugs are used? Could you provide more detailed and complete information? This will help everyone understand and communicate better.
The lower contact surface is curved, with grooves on both sides
Horizontal containers come in two types: arc-shaped and straight-line.
This is the groove shape of the joint where the lifting lug is connected to the main body of the equipment or to the lifting lug pad; grooves are provided on both sides, with a blunt edge remaining in the middle.
The dimensions below are not indicated, and the welding fill volume for this groove is far too large.

Since the cutting was made along the shortest path in the middle, the areas that were cut are shaded; those that are not shaded are the edge areas, as those parts were not cut. The empty spaces within the upper and lower chamfers are not filler welds but part of the actual structure. What was originally an arc shape becomes a straight line when projected vertically
The last edit to this post was made by li*nji on 2018-12-1 at 11:56. Pay close attention: it refers to a 55° bevel on both sides of the steel plate, with a positioning surface left of 1-2 mm thickness. The notation 2+-1 is not correct; it seems there’s also a 2-mm-thick piece of metal remaining
