Unit renewal exam

Recently, the pressure vessels at my workplace need to have their certificates renewed. I heard that there will be a defense session as well as a written exam. Does anyone here have the exam questions from the past 2-3 years? Or at least an address where I can find them? If that’s not possible, please let me know how to locate them. .

The written exam’s question-and-answer section covered topics such as the welding joint coefficient, the minimum thickness of the head, the purpose of pressure testing, the classification of heat treatment, and the methods and characteristics of non-destructive testing; there are exact quotes from Master Li Shiyu’s book on these topics. Additionally, the exam wasn’t very strict, you know what I mean:D. Throughout the defense, I acted as a competent audience member. The experts on the defense panel were senior executives from several Sinopec engineering companies; their questions and doubts were quite insightful. Everyone was allowed to answer and provide additional information, they could refer to books and discuss matters, and the questions weren’t overly difficult.
Thank you for sharing your experience. This exam was closed-book, so my supervisor asked me to see if there were any questions available. If there aren’t any actual exam questions, it would be fine if I could at least use some question banks as a reference

I can only say that your feelings are genuine, and the experts’ questions were professional. They selected one or two typical questions from each aspect. During the Q&A session, as long as you have actually worked on a few products, it’s not necessary to answer every question perfectly; but it’s definitely possible to meet the minimum requirements.
As long as one keeps doing this job and is willing to devote time to in-depth study, there should be no problems with the theoretical exams and defenses; these exams and defenses are relatively lenient.

No way, we renewed our certificates in November 2017 with an open-book exam
It is indeed closed, but the invigilators have some leeway in their actions
