What are the main forms of welding grooves for pressure vessel cylinder plates? There are five main types of welding grooves for pressure vessel barrel plates: single-sided V-shaped grooves, double-sided V-shaped grooves, single-sided U-shaped grooves, double-sided U-shaped grooves, and X-shaped grooves. Excuse me: Aren't double-sided V-shaped grooves and X-shaped grooves the same thing?
The groove form is confirmed according to GB/T324, and the auxiliary reference is GB/T985.1. I don’t know which book you’re talking about comes from, maybe it’s a distinction between whether it has blunt edges or not.
Double-sided V-shaped grooves can have different weld thicknesses on both sides, while X-shaped grooves generally have the same thickness on both sides of the welds.
According to what you said, X-shaped groove should be a special form of V-shaped groove. Then why are X-shaped groove and V-shaped groove juxtaposed?
