First, what is the form of plated paper as a filter? There is currently a system with two stages of inlet filters: the first stage uses plated paper, while the second stage employs a polymer filter. In one setup, these filters are horizontal, whereas in another setup they are vertical – the first stage uses a cyclone filter and the second stage a polymer filter. I want to know what the principles behind using vertical and horizontal filters are
I’ve basically never seen horizontal ones; the main thing is to consider the available space, and design it in a way that’s convenient. The key is the filter element inside.
