≤10 refers to the distance from the tip of the inner diameter of the gas barrier ring to the outer surface of the head. What is a weld joint? The linear expansion coefficient is taken from Appendix 150.2; ASME Volume D was not consulted. The highest value is used for high temperatures, while the lowest value is used for low temperatures. There are many factors that influence this; the result varies from case to case, and there’s no set rule or experience to follow.
Where are the welding points, that is, the areas where welding takes place in Figures 6 and 7?
10 should be the distance from the upper tip inside the gas barrier ring to the tangent of the head; The gas barrier ring is welded to the inner diameter of the skirt; it is fabricated after the skirt and the container have been welded together, and the only welding point then is the fillet weld at the lower corner where the gas barrier ring meets the skirt.
