I would like to ask whether the welding procedure qualification for S32168 and Q345R can be applied to welding S30408 and Q235B. Since I’ve only been working with this topic for a short time, I don’t know much about it. I hope experts can help answer my questions
Not applicable; each weld requires a separate welding procedure qualification, and they cannot be covered by one another.
Yes, the base material with group number Fe-1-2 is suitable for the base material with Fe-1-1; S32168 and S30408 belong to the same group number.
Under this understanding, how many process evaluations does a company need?
Correct! I also had to look up the regulations to find out; I can’t remember it!

If the material group is the same, it should be possible. I once met a welding engineer from a supervision company who said that we were submitting too many evaluation requests; according to him, it would be sufficient to submit them based on the material group: L
No. Refer to clause 6.1.2.1 of NB/T 47014-2011, which outlines the rules for evaluating the base materials in cases of welding dissimilar steels. The welding processes that have been found to be suitable for welding S32168 with Q345R can also be applied to welding S32168 with itself, as well as Q345R with itself.
