Our factory has received a request for a negative-pressure container with dimensions of 4 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 2.9 meters in height. We need to know what thickness of sheet metal should be used as well as what type of reinforcement is required. Please help us out; payment is possible……
Stainless steel: 10 mm, Carbon steel: 12 mm, Rebar: Channel steel No. 140
For Q235 material, how should the reinforcement be arranged? Could you provide more details?
The negative pressure should be enhanced using an external cross-shaped structure, right?
Is there a calculation formula? It’s better to teach someone how to fish than to give them fish!

It’s just a rectangle with an opening on top; I use a flange of 75×50 for that opening, which is placed inside the rectangle. The material used is ordinary carbon steel, the operating temperature is room temperature, and there is no corrosive environment
I’m defining a 16mm thick carbon steel plate now; I just want to know how to add reinforcement and what type would be suitable
