The argon storage tank of the existing argon purification system is located in the laboratory; it operates at a pressure of 1 MPa and has a volume of around 0.8 m3. Can this argon tank be stored together with other oxygen cylinders and similar items? Are there any relevant standards? I don’t see any detailed provisions regarding the requirements for placing these gas cylinders in either the Safety Supervision Regulations for Gas Cylinders or the Safety Supervision Regulations for Special Equipment. If there are anyone who understands this, please give some advice. Thank you.
In principle, mixing them is not allowed; even if there are no safety risks, there is still a possibility of them being used incorrectly. It’s fine if argon is used incorrectly, but using oxygen wrongly can cause problems. Don’t be too serious about it; it’s better to keep them separate.

Oh, okay, thank you. In other words, there are no current regulations regarding the pressure storage tanks for argon. In my case, it’s oxygen in cylinders, while argon is stored in tanks; therefore, there’s no risk of mixing them. The issue is that they are placed closely together in a small room, so I’m wondering if there are any safety distances required in this situation
The TSG series has no such requirements. You need to check with the safety supervision or fire department, especially to see if there are any requirements in the building design fire protection codes regarding this matter.
