Hello, everyone! I have a question: On-site measurements at the tank area revealed that the flange sealing surface of the manual ball valve Q347F-40, which is connected to a DN150 pipe, has an RF raised surface. PN25 gasket rings are being used, but they are not suitable for PN40 applications. The sealing surfaces of other valves of the same model are concave, with a PN40 inner ring gasket. And the other ball valve is Q347F-300LB, RF raised face! What’s going on here? Were the design standards different at that time?
The medium on site is liquefied gas, with a pressure of 1.6 MPa.
Check the standards and look at the bolt hole spacing. The concave surface of the seal faces the convex surface, and the protruding surface faces the protruding surface
