The equipment currently in use consists of three fixed-plate heat exchangers connected vertically in series; the overall height-to-diameter ratio is approximately 25. Ear mounts are being used, but the bending strength requirements are not met during the calculations. Rigid ring supports were tried as well, yet the bending strength requirements still cannot be satisfied. I would appreciate any suggestions from experts on how to ensure that the support design meets the required standards
This post was last edited by bluishice on 2019-9-27 at 17:45. Suggestion 1: Change the structure to have three units connected in series, rather than stacking them. However, four additional tube boxes will be added to avoid seat issues. Suggestion 2: Divide it into three sections, using a flexible connection (such as a bellows) in between, and provide supports for each of the three sections. Set the foundations separately. Suggestion 3: If the diameter is sufficient, increase the number of rigid ring lugs; (this estimate is likely to fail as well.) Suggestion 4: Building on point 2, instead of using separate foundations, connect the supports of the three sections directly with columns, so that the weight is directed uniformly to the base foundation. Wind load needs to be considered.
Is it possible to add a few more layers of ear hooks? Or use a structure similar to a tower hoop
