Issues regarding welding qualifications for the fabrication of static storage tanks

Hello, colleagues! Our project currently has two stainless steel storage tanks that need to be manufactured on-site. The construction contractor provided the certificates of all welders involved in the welding of the storage tanks; the tests listed on those certificates were all related to 6G, with no tests for pipe plate corners of type FG. However, many pipe plate corners need to be welded during the fabrication of the storage tanks, and some of these require 100% RT testing. Are these welders qualified? Can 6G cover FG?
Party A or the supervisor organizes welding worker training and examinations on-site, and certified qualified welding workers are allowed to take up their posts.
A 6G welder’s certificate qualifies one fully to weld FG.
If you are really concerned, you can ask each 6G welder to perform a trial weld on a piece; if it is successful, an internal certification will be issued to them, and they can work with both certificates. However, this approach requires courage.
