Does the new licensing regulation TSG 07-2019 specify any age limits for technical personnel? Can a 65-year-old veteran engineer still work as a system specialist?
I don’t see any age limit; the main issue is how to prove that a 65-year-old engineer is an employee of your company during the evaluation process. Reviewing agencies generally use social insurance to verify the employees of a company; retirees, who do not have social insurance, can only rely on contracts as proof.
70 years old. But is it still used by people over 60?
Since there’s no regulation, doesn’t that mean anything in the 70s or 80s is acceptable?
As long as one is good enough, there are plenty of opportunities for rehiring or working as a technical advisor
There is no age limit, but there are requirements regarding the educational background of the personnel working in this system. Professional titles can be substituted by the number of years of work experience after obtaining a degree, but educational background seems to cannot be used as a substitute. Our company also faces difficulties with this issue. For obtaining a new A2 pressure vessel manufacturing certificate, four key personnel are required to have a bachelor’s degree and be engineers; however, most engineers in their 40s only have an associate degree along with their engineer title. . . .
