What considerations should be taken when using hydrogen-resistant plates such as Q245R(HIR) and Q345R(HIR)?
For those with specific technical requirements, there are quite a number of aspects that need to be met

For specific requirements, refer to SH-T 3193-2017, Guidelines for the Design of Petrochemical Equipment in Wet Hydrogen Sulfide Environments. Q245R (HIC), Q345R (HIC), 20 forged (HIC), and 16Mn forged (HIC) are all well-established steel grades suitable for use in wet hydrogen sulfide environments. If the manufacturer’s production processes have been verified through HIC and SSCC tests, and the operating conditions are not as severe as those tested, it is not necessary to require HIC and SSCC testing for each batch of material; When the operating conditions are more severe than the test conditions, HIC and SCC tests under the operating conditions should be conducted on each batch of material. The same requirement applies to equipment manufacturers; it is not necessary to conduct HIC and SSCC tests on every piece of equipment.
