Our company is now preparing to manufacture low-temperature reactors capable of operating at -100° Celsius with a design pressure of 0.5 MPa. The customer wants these reactors to be equipped with sight glasses of DN100 size. However, the range of temperatures for which such sight glasses are suitable, as specified in standard NB/T47017, is determined based on the requirements for sight glass glass outlined in GB/T23259, which is 0–250°C. Is it feasible not to design the mirrors according to standards?
