Currently, environmental protection authorities require that storage tanks for maleic anhydride and maleic acid be sealed, with any gases generated being recovered. Since the freezing point of maleic anhydride is 52 degrees and that of maleic acid is 130 degrees, how should vent valves and flame arresters be installed on tanks with such high freezing points?
