Experts: Can glass plate level gauges be used on storage tanks for substances such as acids and alkalis? Which standard does it come from?
Section 10.1.3 of HG/T20583 states that glass tube level gauges and glass float level gauges are not permitted to be used when the container holds flammable and explosive hazardous materials, as well as materials with moderate, high, or extremely high toxicity. Note that it is a glass tube and glass float, not a glass plate level gauge.
The alkaline solution can use transparent tetrafluoro material.
The main consideration is a material suitable for the medium; plate type is no problem.
