Ethylene oxide sterilizer is a type of sterilizer. You may have heard of it, but the principle of its sterilization steps is not very clear. The sterilization stage of the ethylene oxide sterilizer includes several processes: puncture, sterilization, and exhaust. When inserting medicine into the ethylene oxide sterilizer, you need to know some details. After the humidification is successful, the vacuum generator will work, evacuate to the lower vacuum limit, the puncture needle will eject, and the gas tank will be punctured. After the puncture is completed, the pressure transmitter monitors the pressure change to determine whether the pressure meets the requirements and indicates the concentration of ethylene oxide gas. During the entire sterilization stage, the sterilization chamber always maintains a negative pressure state to avoid leakage of ethylene oxide gas, and the sterilization time is set by the program. After the ethylene oxide sterilizer is sterilized, pulse evacuation is required to remove the ethylene oxide gas from the inner chamber. The specific process is to first evacuate to 18kPa, then inlet air to rise to 55kPa, and run like this for 30 minutes. During the exhaust stage, most of the ethylene oxide gas in the sterilization chamber can be exhausted, but the sterilized items still contain ethylene oxide residues and require further processing. The ethylene oxide sterilizer should be installed in a sterile environment, close to the compressed air. An exhaust fan should be installed in this environment to remove ethylene oxide gas dispersed in the air in a timely manner. Items sterilized with ethylene oxide must be packaged in special standard paper and plastic packaging. There is an instruction card in the bag, and the disinfection date is generally 1-2 years.
