May I ask how the design pressure for the reactor nozzle flange is determined?
It is necessary to take into account the equipment’s pressure, temperature, and load conditions, as well as the stresses on the pipes; it also depends on the medium used. Therefore, the design pressure of the reactor’s connection flanges is generally much higher than the design pressure of the reactor itself.
The maximum allowable pressure at the equipment temperature, based on the material specified in the flange standards.
