Aluminum containers are suitable for use in vessels with pressures not exceeding 8 MPa (JBT 4734-2002 for welded aluminum vessels), while aluminum and aluminum alloys used as pressure-bearing components in vessels have a design pressure limit of 16 MPa (per 2.2.5.2 of TGS21-2016). Is there any conflict between these requirements? Also, what is the year of the latest version of the standard indicated in green in the diagram? There are old standard integrations on the second floor.
Since the maximum design pressure for aluminum alloy pressure vessels in actual engineering has reached 12 MPa, the regulatory standards have raised this design pressure. JBT 4734-2002 for aluminum welded containers is too old and needs to be revised.
It’s just that there are no new developments in the field of non-ferrous metals yet. In actual engineering applications, the maximum design pressure for aluminum alloy pressure vessels has reached 12 MPa. Where does this value come from?

JB/T4734 will be revised in the future.
There have been too many new standards released in recent years, some of which even include a /T suffix; it’s really confusing. Especially since the implementation of TSG21-2016, designs from external design firms are used for mass production, and the pricing in such cases is quite problematic.
