For ordinary containers, for example, if the operating pressure is 0.8 Mpa, the design pressure is 0.84 Mpa, and the pressure test pressure is 1.05 Mpa. Can I set the design pressure at values such as 0.95 Mpa or 0.9 Mpa? Or is it usual to use intervals of 0.2 Mpa, with the design pressure being 1.0 Mpa after 0.8 Mpa, and then 1.2 Mpa thereafter?
The design pressure is generally greater than or equal to the maximum operating pressure. The test pressure needs to be determined based on the design pressure (or the maximum allowable operating pressure) and the design temperature; for specific details, refer to GB/T150.1-2011

It is determined in accordance with standard regulations based on specific conditions, and sometimes the conditions of the system also need to be taken into account.
For those with safety valves, a factor of 1.05 to 1.1 can be considered; generally, being slightly larger is sufficient.
You can have it customized with an operating pressure of 0.50 MPa and a design pressure of 5.0 MPa; as long as you have the money, there’s no problem.

The term “customized” is quite new when applied to pressure vessels – personalized customization!
Pressure resistance tests are divided into types based on air pressure, water testing, and a combination of water and air; each method differs, and the required pressures vary as well, all of which are specified in GB150
