The company is currently conducting inspections on pressure pipelines, but the pipelines in use have been shut down for 5 years; no nitrogen protection was applied to them, and it’s impossible for any materials to be present inside. Yet the inspection results indicate the presence of materials within the pipes. It’s unlikely that steam or methanol pipelines could contain materials after all these years. It’s presumed that there might be a lot of rust inside. I wonder whether such extensive rusting inside the pipes could affect radiographic inspection.
