Boiler Trip (BT), Main Fuel Trip (MFT), FSSS – what’s the difference between them? When these systems activate, do the various fans and motors also trip? Is there any difference in that regard? It has tripped – what should be done? Just sharing a bit about the furnace chamber we cleaned when it was shut down
Is the wind cap around the slag discharge port blocked by slag? Is it normal for the refractory material on the surrounding furnace walls to crack and flake off? How long has your furnace been in use?
No, this is a 55T circulating fluidized bed boiler:) It hasn’t collapsed
1. The wind cap around the slag discharge port is not blocked by slag. That’s a directional air cap; when cleaning the furnace chamber, the slag there hadn’t been completely removed yet. Indeed, many of the air caps were blocked by molten slag. 2. The refractory material on the surrounding furnace walls is cracked and peeling. . . . . I’m not sure either if it’s normal or not; I’m a complete novice when it comes to boilers {:1_90:}. The furnace is used to burn household waste, and its operational time is around 15–20 days, but it often stops operating due to accidents
