Slit steel pipes can be used if the pressure does not exceed a certain level (except for special conditions). I seem to have seen it in some standard before.
For small equipment, seamless steel pipes are used directly. For large equipment, steel plates are rolled. Seamed steel pipes have not been used in actual manufacturing.

If the weld radiographic inspection is qualified, it can be used in the same way as the plate welding container.
Generally, the materials used for seamed pipes have large thickness deviations and uneven thickness. How to determine the allowable stress... based on seamless pipes?
It seems that the welding problem is not a manufacturing requirement for pressure vessels, but is mainly based on meeting certain required conditions as a reference point. There are only a few high-pressure containers similar to those used in gas bottles. Welds are inevitable in most pressure vessels, such as large spherical tanks.

This is an approach that sacrifices the good and the bad. Welded steel pipes are nothing more than cheaper. How much cheaper can they be? ? Are you confident about other people's welds? Buy it and do RT yourself? If RT fails, do we have to re-weld?
