I saw a drain pipe on the expansion bend of a heating pipeline by the road; I don’t understand what the principle behind such a connection is
Speaking specifically about these two valves, it seems that during installation only the valve on the left side was present; however, the inspection failed, so as required, the valve on the right side was added as a backup. The suppliers for the front and rear valves should be different; it seems the purchaser ordered them based on the valve name and color, rather than the specific model. Although it is the same type of valve, the connection method is different.

One is a socket weld valve, and the other is a flanged valve; the welded one cannot be disassembled, which is inconvenient, so a flanged valve was added later.
