Dear masters, as shown in the figure above, there is a formula for calculating the speed of an empty tower. Students are unable to understand this formula – they don’t know why the steam flow rate is 4 times greater, and why the tower diameter needs to be squared and then multiplied by π. Empty tower flow velocity = Vs/tower cross-sectional area; Tower cross-sectional area = radius squared * PI = (D/2)^2 * PI = D*D/4*PI; Substituting this value: Void tower velocity = Vs / (D*D/4*PI) = 4Vs / (D*D*PI) ; PI=π
You didn’t do well in junior high, and then you studied humanities in high school? Once you understand the formula for the area of a circle and the formula for the volume of a cylinder, it will become clear
