The unit produces high-pressure or medium-pressure steam as a by-product, which is used as process steam or steam for driving turbines. Some have suggested that the steam supply might not be stable; I would like to ask how everyone avoids this problem in production? Thank you
Add a steam generator, commonly known as a steam drum; this will help stabilize things and increase the steam temperature. Supersaturated steam is the best option
Minor fluctuations can be addressed by installing air tanks or buffer tanks, or through automatic adjustment across the pipeline; safety valves can be used to release pressure to lower levels, and external steam assistance can also be employed. If this still cannot guarantee it, then there must be a problem with the design, or it is not suitable.
When designing a whole plant, it is necessary to take into account the steam supply requirements under normal operating conditions as well as in the event of equipment failures; therefore, either start-up boilers or peak-shaving boilers should be available, or if nearby plants have sufficient steam to meet the needs, boilers may not need to be installed.
It must be difficult to handle on a single device; all of them need to be connected to the system’s piping network for unified control
Adding a steam accumulator can solve this issue; the principle is that the steam generated by heating water can result in a relatively stable steam pressure. However, it depends on the equipment you are using, and specific design is required.
If the by-product steam from the unit is high-pressure or medium-pressure and this steam supply is unstable, it can only be sent to a turbine to drive a generator for power generation. If a turbine is used to drive equipment, the load will also be unstable due to the unstable steam supply, failing to meet the process requirements; unless another motor operating in parallel is used to drive auxiliary equipment in order to regulate the load. Therefore, there is no need nor should any kind of accumulator or similar device be used.
Let’s discuss and exchange opinions on the differences between using them as steam-driven circulation pumps and for waste heat power generation!
