As far as I remember, they are all made of reinforced concrete; what is the purpose of this layer of bricks? Can red bricks resist alkali corrosion? The design life of a storage tank is 15 to 20 years; will these red bricks crumble after a few years of operation? Is there any risk? I would appreciate advice from those who are experienced in this field. Thank you:handshake
Ventilation holes should be created using bricks for heat insulation, as the temperature of the medium in the storage tank is above 90°C. See Clause 7.1.18 of GB 50473-2008

The foundation must be treated with impermeabilizing measures: firstly, to prevent the lower surface of the tank bottom from being corroded by water vapor and similar substances; secondly, to prevent any leakage of the medium from contaminating the soil. As for whether these bricks can withstand alkalis, there’s no need even to think about it
Using bricks is no problem; all the 32-meter structures we have built have been constructed with bricks
Foam glass bricks can be used to insulate and reduce temperature; these red bricks are not foam glass bricks. The technical requirements for the graphics are entirely unclear. Also, is it structured like that?

It’s right to use red bricks for this! Plastering is not possible; it can only be done after the storage tank is in place! Under the red bricks in the drawings is a layer of sand and gravel; there are gaps between the red bricks, which is intended to prevent leaks at the bottom of the tank. This allows the material to flow out through the guide pipes, thereby preventing further corrosion of the tank bottom
Thank you for following. Personal advice: Use reinforced concrete formwork with appropriate gaps and leakage detection channels. Is steel-concrete not heat-resistant? Above 90 degrees? This is doubtful. . . Foam glass is being adjusted to meet the technical requirements of the existing design (only at low temperatures? ), I haven’t seen any writing in other styles.
Your understanding of brick-built structures is somewhat incorrect; many ancient brick structures can still be seen today, and even stones cannot compare to them. If one wants to destroy a brick wall or a stone wall, anyone who says that a brick wall is easier to demolish is wrong.
CCTV has reported that the quality of the red bricks is substandard – they can be crushed with just one hand! ! ! No technical requirements are specified on this diagram, so doubts arise. Understanding without bias means that it is sufficient to comply with the standard requirements.
