The requirements for non-destructive testing as per the drawings are shown in the figure below; it seems that this covers everything. However, when the boiler inspection agency conducted the supervision inspection, it was stated that it wasn’t clear whether RT testing is required for Category B systems with DN < 250 mm. According to GB/T150, is it necessary to specify whether RT is required for Class B welds with DN<250mm? I’ve encountered this situation many times; however, design institutes generally assume that RT refers to welds with a DN≥250mm. Please feel free to share your opinions.
If it is Class B nozzle, and the design documents do not require RT, then it is not necessary to implement it. There is a short article that can be used as a reference: DN

According to the structure of GB150: 10.3 refers to radiography or ultrasonic testing; the sub-item 10.3.3 deals with DN
What if the drawings haven’t been finalized? Is it by default not done?
If not specified in the drawings, follow GB150
My understanding is. . . The drawing doesn’t say anything. . . Just ignore it
This is the difference between design specifications, standards, and actual regulations; it would be great if some details in the formulation process could be clarified to avoid discrepancies.
RT testing is considered only for nozzles with external loads greater than 250; for those less than 250, surface testing is sufficient
