Now there is an equipment with a design pressure of 10MPa, a design temperature of 235°C, an inner diameter of 490mm, and the equipment is made entirely of stainless steel S31603. The customer requires an equipment flange to facilitate disassembly and cleaning of internal parts. Now I calculated based on the equipment flange sketch. If I choose 35CrMoA studs, it can pass, but the stainless steel studs cannot be adjusted no matter what. If the center circle of the bolt hole is enlarged and the number of studs is increased, the flange may be too large at the top and too small at the bottom, which is too ugly. What should I do? How to adjust the calculation for stainless steel?
It must be carried out in accordance with the chemical equipment design specifications, and ultra-high strength bolts and nuts (double nuts) must be used!
The customer requires stainless steel studs, what should I do?
It is known that there are very few stainless steel bolts in China, and the quality is hard to say. It is recommended to import them! I've also seen super strength bolts used.
Use duplex stainless steel bolts, just pay attention to forging processing.
In addition to changing the stud material, if your gasket size is too large, adjust the inner and outer diameter of the gasket to a smaller size.
Ensure strength first! Guaranteed beauty!
The stainless steel bolts and nuts cannot be put up at all, and no one dares to remove them even after they are put up.
