I have a question: why are both pressure gauges placed at the top during the container’s hydrostatic test? When conducting a hydrostatic test on the pipeline, two pressure gauges are placed at one high point and one low point. I seek help from experts to resolve this issue.
This is because the test pressure for pressure vessels is determined as the design pressure multiplied by 1.25, and the design pressure is based on the highest operating pressure at the top of the vessel (for horizontal vessels, without considering static pressure)； However, the design pressure of the pipeline should be based on the average pressure inside the pipeline
