The company purchased stainless steel plates S30408 (GB/T24511-2017) for pressure equipment. On these plates, the laser-marked information includes the specifications, material type, and standard; however, there is no indication of the furnace or batch number – only the plate identifier XXX. This plate identifier can be matched with the quality certificate. ②A strip-shaped adhesive label is attached to the side of the plate, indicating the plate number, specifications, material, and standard ； ③An adhesive label is attached to one side of the plate, indicating the manufacturer, production date, production team number, material, specifications, weight, and steel plate number (the furnace batch number is not indicated) ； In accordance with the requirements of TSG21-2016, the manufacturers of pressure vessel materials shall apply clear and durable factory stamp marks on obvious parts of the materials, or use other traceable markers. Can the steel plate grade be considered as such another traceable marker (i.e., as a sort of \"identity card\" for the steel plate)? According to clause 9 of standard GB/T24511-2017, packaging, labeling, and quality certificates shall comply with the provisions of GB/T247. Referring to clause 5.1.2 of GB/T247-2016, the labeling shall include the supplier’s name or trademark, standard number, grade, specifications, weight, as well as an identification number that allows tracking from the steel material to the stage of smelting. Since the standard does not specify exactly what this identification number should be, could the steel plate’s serial number meet this requirement? In summary, can the steel grade of the steel plate body meet the acceptance requirements in terms of traceable markings and identification numbers that allow tracking from the raw material to the smelting process?
