If a large storage tank has a DN65 connection, is it necessary to reinforce this connection? What should be the size of the reinforcement ring, and what are the criteria for determining this?
With such a small pipe opening size, a reinforcement ring is generally not required; if the reinforcement area is insufficient, it is recommended to use thick-walled pipes

I’m asking about large storage tanks, not pressure vessels. Large storage tanks as per GB50341 do not come equipped with DN65 nozzles.

It is not very meaningful to calculate reinforcement for small nozzles on large storage tanks; using thick-walled pipes is sufficient.
