The qualification for Class IV materials is sufficient, in accordance with TSG Z6002-2010 P21, Article A4.3.2.1.1, item (2)

I would like to ask: The qualification on the welder’s certificate specifies steel of category IV, with internal argon shielded welding. When welding stainless steel pipes with a flux coating on-site, are corresponding qualifications required? I noticed that some of the qualifications for Class III steel welder certificates cover welding using internal inert gas shielding; is it necessary to go back to the testing authority to obtain an additional qualification for welding materials that do not require such internal protection? As referenced in 6002, the backing shielding gas in A4.3.9 is also an important factor.
