Lifting weight of eye screw

This post was last edited by Paris on 2021-11-9 09:29 The U-shaped pipe bundle requires the installation of lifting eye screws for pulling the pipe bundle. I opened the GB825 lifting eye screw standard and took a look. Why is the lifting weight of double screws of the same specification in this table so much lower than that of a single screw? The maximum lifting weight for lifting with two screws on the inside and outside refers to the total lifting weight when the two screws are used together, right? If you use double screws for the pipe bundle, you will have to choose quite large eye screws, which is a bit uncomfortable.
A single screw is in tension and a double screw is in bending. . . .
