The design calculations for containers are carried out in accordance with GB/T150; there is nothing special about it. However, when the manufacturer performs calculations based on the design specifications, it applies certain correction factors in accordance with standards and its own factory regulations. It is often calculated to be a bit larger than the displacement calculated for container design.

Inside the container is superheated steam, so it needs to be calculated using steam. The safe discharge volume is calculated based on the gas, and then the diameter is determined in accordance with B.8.3.2 of GB/T150. The safe vent volume must be greater than the amount of steam arriving and the amount of water flash vapor entering the vessel.
