Stainless steel sheets can be used, as well as stainless steel forgings; composite sheets or carbon steel forgings welded on top can also be employed… The thickness is determined by the material specified in the strength calculations, rather than being guessed based on thickness alone. Some stainless steel sheets and forgings have the same allowable stress
