Appendix A.3.5 of GB150.2-2011 – Chemical composition requirements: Grade: 09CrCuSb; C: ≤0.12, Si: 0.20~0.40, Mn: 0.35~0.65, Cr: 0.70~1.10, Cu: 0.25~0.45, Sb: 0.14~0.10, P: ≤0.030, S: ≤0.020. ND steel generally refers to 09CrCuSb steel, also known as 09Luo copper-antimony steel, which is used to resist corrosion at low temperatures and under pressure in environments with sulfuric acid. ND steel 09CrCuSb pipes are delivered in the normalized heat-treated state, and are widely used in power plants and refineries to manufacture evaporators, heat exchangers, economizers, and air preheaters that operate in flue gases with high sulfur content, thereby preventing corrosion caused by dew formation in such flue gases. 09CrCuSb (ND steel) is a sulfuric acid corrosion-resistant steel that has undergone extensive testing and demonstrated excellent performance in various industrial applications. Its good corrosion resistance, along with its favorable physical and chemical properties as well as machinability, fully meet the requirements for design, manufacturing, and use. At the same time, 09CrCuSb (ND steel) exhibits strong corrosion resistance to hydrochloric acid (HCl), hydrofluoric acid (HF), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), and sodium chloride (NaCl).
ND steel generally refers to 09CrCuSb alloy steel pipes, with the material designation 09CrCub; its standard is Q/TDGG0039-2004. It is an alloy steel pipe widely used in preheaters and heat exchangers. Grade: 09CrCuSb; C: ≤0.10, Si: 0.20~0.40, Mn: 0.35~0.65, Cr: 0.70~1.20, Cu: 0.25~0.45, Sb: ≤10, P: ≤0.10, S: ≤0.10. Tensile strength: 390~550; Yield strength: ≥245; Elongation: ≥25. ND steel, 09CrCuSb, is a steel grade developed for use in evaporators, flue tube boilers, air preheaters, condenser coolers, coal-fired boilers, oil-fired boilers, and other applications. It boasts excellent resistance to sulfuric acid dew point corrosion and a very high cost-performance ratio; it can completely replace stainless steel, and its price is also much lower than that of stainless steel. Air preheaters, evaporator heat exchangers, and other devices for condensing sulfur-containing flue gases are widely used in power plants and refineries operating economizers with high sulfur content in their flue gases, in order to combat corrosion.
In other words, there are no industry or **level standards for ND steel plates anymore. Only those made of steel pipes.
