Should the maximum allowable operating pressure specified in the HG20592/HG20615 pipe flange standards be compared with the equipment’s maximum operating pressure, or with its design pressure? Is there any evidence?
It has already been stated in 150 that where the maximum allowable operating pressure of the equipment is not specified, the design pressure is considered to be the equipment’s maximum allowable operating pressure. The pressure-bearing capacity of any pressure-bearing component on the equipment must not be lower than the design pressure ； Where the maximum allowable operating pressure of the equipment is specified on the nameplate and drawings, the stress-bearing capacity of any pressure-bearing component in the equipment must not be lower than this maximum allowable operating pressure.
