The pressure inside the pressure vessel reactor is high, while the pressure inside the coils is low; how should the hydrostatic test pressure for those coils be calculated?
Generally, the internal pressure is sufficient; however, when the pressure is high, both the internal and external pressures need to be calculated, and the higher value should be used. Be sure to conduct a verification
The internal and external pressures are calculated separately and then verified
The pressure for the coil’s pressure resistance test is calculated based on its design pressure (internal pressure). However, it is necessary to verify the stability of the external pressure on the coil under the hydrostatic test pressure of the reactor; if this condition is not met, pressure should be applied inside the coil to prevent it from being flattened.
