I would like to ask whether the location of the pipe connections on the as-built drawings of equipment (mainly referring to horizontal or vertical vessels) is indicated in these drawings? Is it better to look at the process pipe connection diagram?
According to our company’s regulations, as per this drawing, the orientation of the pipe openings must be determinable at the time of drawing production.
None of them are good. Express it clearly – use whichever design the designer is willing to use

Since everything has been completed, it’s best to mark the locations of the pipe openings on a diagram, so as to avoid trouble in finding them later.
Anything is fine; During the design of the entire system container, it is not possible to determine the position of the pipe openings through manufacturing processes; therefore, the height of the pipe openings can be determined first, and effective design drawings can be prepared, after which the position diagrams for the pipe openings can be added later. Individual containers also have a chance of encountering the same problem.
According to the equipment as-built drawings, if there is a conflict between the process diagram and the equipment as-built drawings, then the process diagram should be modified; if the process diagram must be used, then new equipment that complies with that diagram needs to be purchased.
A serious mistake that users make is to give precedence to process diagrams over the as-built drawings of equipment; the as-built drawings are required by laws and regulations, while process diagrams are merely a matter of personal requirement.
